Honouring Anzacs

THE Stanthorpe Sub-Branch RSL is hoping to meet descendants of World War I soldiers who were killed in the line of duty at this year’s Anzac Centenary Dawn Service on Saturday 25 April.
A list of men from Stanthorpe who died during WW1, have been taken from the Stanthorpe RSL honour board and the Stanthorpe soldiers memorial.

The Sub Branch would like any relatives to get in contact with them to organise a march into the service held at Weeroona Park from 5.30am.
After the dawn service, a gunfire breakfast will be held at the RSL service club and white crosses will be available to be placed on the RSL wall of remembrance.
A march will take off from the corner of Maryland and Folkestone streets at 10.30am and will finish at the civic service centre, followed by official wreath laying at Weeroona park.
