And all that jazz

Jazz at Heritage Winery is becoming a bit of a seasonal treat.

THIS Mother’s Day is the time to put on your craziest, silliest, maddest hat or fascinator for a swingin’ afternoon of wine, food and all that jazz.
Heritage Winery is presenting “Mad Hat Jazz” at their Cottonvale venue on Granite Belt Drive.
Featuring their special blend of jazzy, bluesy and popular ‘croons and tunes,’ Aperitif and their songbird Teri Welles will be joined by guest singer/saxophone player Steve Henry.
“There are many genres of jazz,” said singer Teri.
“Aperitif plays ‘smooth jazz’, a mix of jazz, blues and soft rock from the likes of Nina Simone, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Michael Buble, Paul Simon, Van Morrison and even The Beatles, to name a few.
“Some of our following didn’t think they liked jazz until they heard what we do.”
Mad Hat Jazz kicks off at 12pm Sunday 10 May and runs until 4pm.
“It may be Mother’s Day but the event isn’t just for mothers,” Ms Welles said.
“Everyone is welcome. Bring your friends and family for a really fun afternoon.
“Steve Henry is a delight, the staff are friendly, the atmosphere is cosy and relaxed and there’s always room for dancing.”
Entry is only $15 per person with wine, affordable food and refreshments available for purchase. Bookings appreciated for catering numbers, phone 0449 192 580 or 07 4685 2947.
