Unique jazz event

Prepare for Jazz and Jumpers in July.

By TANIA PHILLIPS

SAVE the date – planning is well underway for the 12th annual Jumpers And Jazz in July Festival from 16-26 July in Warwick.
More than 100 trees will get a winter make-over this year – with local artisans already hard at work.
From now on, Warwick Art Gallery staff and volunteers will begin co-ordinating the signature event – the tree jumper exhibition.
Warwick Art Gallery director Karina Devine said artists got more creative each year and the standard of entries were simply mind-blowing.
“We expect the optional theme FUSION to be a challenge but anticipate that it will inspire our artists to create clever and beautiful entries.”
According to Warwick Tourism and Events CEO, Tracy Vellacott, there is nothing to rival Jumpers and Jazz across the event landscape in South East Queensland.
“The warmth, ingenuity and quirkiness of this festival will leave you with an event experience like no other,” she said.
While the festival program is bursting with textiles, workshops, dinners, jazz music and other quirky events and happenings, the festival highlights or main events include:
