CRACKER night was a real big deal when we were little kids and at Tenterfield it still is.
The third annual Tenterfield Lions Club Cracker Night will be held at the Tenterfield Showgrounds on the Queen’s Birthday Weekend.
The club has decided to bring back that tradition that man of us grew up with – but a lot safer and with a modern twist.
Gates open from 4pm and the evening will include live entertainment from local school children and from Brisbane band “Sweatshop” aswell as a huge bonfire and the very popular fire drum competition as well as the fireworks display by “Skylighter Fireworks”.
There will be lots of food and a bar open throughout the event and the Lions club invite everyone to come along, bring blankets and camp chairs and settle around the bonfire of fire drums.
Last year a crowd of more than 1,500 came along to enjoy the event and organisers are hoping for even more this year.
