Last Sunday the Spring Carnival was held and our sincere thanks to the sponsors Warwick Credit Union, Warwick Hotel and Shelley’s Industries for their very generous support, and to the ladies section, Work Camp ladies and Mrs Delcie Welsh for their excellent catering. Sunday 20 – Bowls for Cancer afternoon. Men’s section and ladies’ section members have been asked to bring along a plate for afternoon tea for this special day. Wednesday 23 – Bev and Doug’s and Sue and Rob’s sponsored bowls afternoon. Saturday 26 – Social bowls and club selected fours will close.
Sunday 27 – Patroness Elsie Clear and patron Percy Cutmore sponsored bowls afternoon. Wednesday 30 – Jackpot pairs. Saturday 3 October – first round club selected fours. Sunday 11 October – ‘Bushies’ sponsored bowls afternoon. Saturday 24 October – club trophy – social.
All members and visitors are always very welcome on any sponsored days and social days. Names in by 12.30pm for play at 1pm. Please ring 4661 1516 after noon on any playing day.
LADIES SECTION
Thank you to our members, Delcie Welsh and the Work Camp ladies for all their assistance in the kitchen for the spring carnival last Sunday.

WARWICK EAST
LAST Saturday 12 September, Warwick East club members played their first “Scroungers” competition for a very long time. A very happy time was had by all participants with the top four scores being: Peter Dipplesman 56, Bill Lee 52, Vic Nelson 38 and Don Meneely 21.
Next Saturday, social bowls will again be on with names to the club (4661 9050) by 12.30pm. Play begins at 1pm. All welcome.
A reminder that the Warwick East Ladies Rose Fiesta is on next week commencing with morning tea at 8.45am on Monday 21 September and continuing on Tuesday 22 September. Prizemoney is $1600 plus crystal vases so get your entries in now for this very popular annual event.
