TWO legends of rugby league will be coming to Warwick in December.
Former internationals and New South Wales State of Origin representatives Bryan Fletcher and Steve Menzies will be appearing at the Warwick RSL on 3 December as part of Christmas with Fletch and Beaver.
The night will be a chance for fans to have a meet and greet and also be entertained with the pair recounting stories from their playing days. If anyone’s seen Fletch and Hindy on television, then they know there will be more than a few laughs to be had on the night.
Proceeds on the night will go towards Warwick and District Junior Rugby League.
Warwick RSL administration manager David Burgess said it was something they would look to continue annually.
“We want to do a sportsman dinner once a year and support different junior sporting clubs in the district each time we do it and spread it all around,” he said.
“It’s going to be a night of fun entertainment and good night out to try and raise as much money as we can for Warwick junior rugby league.”
The two players will be bringing a piece of memorabilia each that will be donated and given back to charity along with raffles, auctions, table bingo and prizes.
Justin Karcher will keep the crowds warmed up as the MC for the night.
Tickets are $55 and can be purchased from the RSL until they sell out. The price includes a two-course meal and drinks package. $5 from each ticket sold will go towards supporting junior rugby league.
