HE’S one of Stanthorpe’s favourite son’s and he’ll be bringing down the house at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre this weekend.
Freshly returned from his second year at the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAPA), Matthew Manahan.
And following on from the success of his concert last year has agreed to perform again.
The show, at 7.30pm at the Civic Centre this Saturday night, will showcase just what Matt has been up to at WAPA and what he has learned.
Accompanied by Natlie McCosker, expect a little bit of everything including pieces from the two shows he performed in this year.
It’s been a big year for the talented young performer and he is keen to show all his friends, family and supporters just what he’s been doing including being part of the WA premiere of Legally Blonde – a sell-out in the West.
He’s also had a chance to work with the queen of Australian musicals Nancy Hays as well as working with meeting up and learning from Lisa McCune, Todd McKenney and the cast of Les Mis – but Matt will tell you all about it at his show.
“It’s such a supportive community, I’m very lucky to have them – it’s a great place to grow-up,” he said of why he loves coming home and putting on these shows.
Of course coming home for his mum’s roast is pretty good too.
