Not all clear skies for Easter

Westy’s Weather By TERRY WEST

EASTER is around the corner and here is my outlook for the next four days.
Friday looks like it should start out fine and cool. During the morning some cloud may develop and there is a slight chance of a storm or two developing in the west. These storms are not expected to come into our region.
Fine, becoming overcast during the afternoon with a temperature range of 14 degrees Celsius to 30 degrees Celsius.
Saturday is looking like there is a bit more instability in the atmosphere and this may lead to a shower or storms on Saturday afternoon. A surface trough to the west may start to impact our region and anywhere east of the trough may see action.
Fine during the morning with a chance of a shower or storm after lunch and a temperature range of 15-30 degrees Celsius.
Sunday looks a bit damp around our region with the possibility of showers or a storm during the day, mainly after lunch. The surface trough will stagnate and as usual, any area’s east of the trough may see instability.
Overcast during the morning with a chance of storms and showers during the afternoon and evening and a temperature range of 16-28 degrees Celsius, Monday looks to be a repeat of Sunday as does Tuesday and Wednesday.
These are the days we ask you to take extreme care as most will be travelling home after a big weekend. The roads may be wet and slippery and it is very easy to loose control in these conditions. We want everyone to have a great weekend and get home safely.
A huge callout to everyone who will be giving up their Easter so we can all have a good time – fire, police, ambulance, nurses and doctor’s, service station workers, console operators and a myriad of others who give up their fun for us – thank you.
