Bidding for a bargain

A good crowd turned out for the Annual Allora Auction on Sunday morning.

ALLORA came alive for the 41st Allora Community Auction on Sunday morning.
About 200 volunteers from 30 local charities worked together booking goods in, assisting the auctioneers and feeding the crowds.
The hours worked by the various charity members were added up and the profits were divided accordingly with about 40 per cent of total sales going to the charities.
Throughout Sunday numerous auctioneers worked throughout the day with three operating at a time.
Photographer Terry West was there on the lookout for a bargain or two and lots of photo opportunities.
