MORE than 4000 people headed to Killarney for this year’s Killarney Bonfire Night.
Organisers were thrilled with the crowds – with people coming from Toowoomba, Brisbane and beyond just to enjoy the cool weather and the incredible fire-drums which included old favourites including the Drangaroo along with new creations a giant Echidna, a hot dog and even a fiery Darth Vader.
Now in it’s seventh year, the event was moved to the Killarney Recreation Centre to take advantage of better facilities – just as well given the size of the crowd this year, almost double the turn out last year.
The event also captured the attention of photographer Terry West who grabbed his camera and marshmallows and headed out to capture the fun.
