NYE in Warwick …
THE Warwick Showgrounds will be the place to go to party and buck the year away at the 2016 Warwick Steele’s Bakery New Year’s Eve Rodeo and Fireworks.
Rodeo action starts at 4pm and there will be two sets of fireworks including midnight, and Mik Oberle playing in the bar until late.
The gates open at midday on New Year’s Eve – Saturday 31 December – and the rodeo action gets under way from 4pm. Adult admission is $20 and kids under 14 will be admitted free.
Camping is available – book your campsite today and don’t miss out on this action-packed night.
And do you have what it takes to be the very first New Year’s Eve Warwick Rodeo King? Are you cowboy tough, with some royalty flair and fashion sense? Then the 2016 New Year’s Eve Rodeo King contest could be for you.
Judging will take place in the arena on New Year’s Eve, with contestants judged on the Stick Horse Riding Skills, flag carrying ability, and sense of style. Rodeo King contestants will be called from the crowd to show off their skills and abilities.
So boys, dress up in your country finest and show your style for your chance to take out the Rodeo King title. The winner will be crowned and sashed in front of the spectators and will also take away $50 worth of bar tickets to be used to party the night away.

NYE in Stanthorpe …
In Stanthorpe, New Year’s Eve revellers will also be heading to the Showgrounds for the NYE ‘Beach in the Bush’ festivities.
Pull out your best beachwear and don your favourite cowboy hat for a night of beach-themed fun the bush.
The beach bash kicks off at 4pm through until midnight with beach activities for all ages, prizes for best costumes, a bar until midnight and full catering, along with live music.
The event is a fund-raiser for the Stanthorpe Show Society’s 2017 Showgirl Quest entrants.
