Recognising the best in business

By Jeremy Sollars

Nominations for the Stanthorpe and Granite Belt Chamber of Commerce Heritage Bank Business Excellence Awards close this Friday 3 March.
The awards will recognise outstanding business qualities and achievements, strengthen the ‘Better Business Community’ culture, highlight the Granite Belt as a regional hub for business operators and provide knowledge, education and network opportunities for Granite Belt business owners.
The Heritage Bank 2017 Business Excellence Awards presentation dinner will be held on the Saturday 1 April, at the Stanthorpe International Club, and will be a celebration of Stanthorpe’s business community and the contribution it makes to the economic wellbeing of the Granite Belt region.
The awards are an occasion for owners and their staff to critically assess their business performance, recognise and celebrate successes and strategise for the future. The awards also provide an excellent opportunity to benchmark businesses against others in the area.
There are 10 award categories and 11 awards overall:
* Tourism and Hospitality (four awards – restaurants, cafes/coffee shops, wineries and accommodation)
* Agriculture
* Retail
* Manufacturing
* Trades

The prestigious Heritage Bank Business of the Year Award will be selected from the winners of each category.
