And the weather is … cool

Warwick and Stanthorpe can expect a cooler start to the week, with partly cloudy conditions prevailing in the wake of last week’s rainfall associated with Cyclone Debbie.
The heavy falls across the region have local creeks running well for the first time in a long time and most local road closures have been lifted.
Council workers were clearing the last of the debris from the Queens Park weir on Monday 3 April, with the Condamine River now having dropped below the road.
The Bureau of Meteorology says the remnants of Debbie now lie “well offshore” of the east Australian coastline over the far north Tasman sea and will move slowly east today, Monday 3 April, before shifting south-east further away from Queensland tomorrow and Wednesday.
A large high-pressure system near Tasmania will shift slowly east in the next day or so, with the high to extend a firm ridge into much of Queensland this week, resulting in a dry air mass extending over much of the interior.
Warwick can expect a maximum of 23 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with 21 predicted for Stanthorpe Monday and Tuesday and 20 on Wednesday.
There is a 20 per cent chance of shower activity in far eastern areas of the Southern Downs over the three days.
