Soccer match called off after brawl

By Jeremy Sollars

Investigations are underway into a reported “all in brawl” during a men’s football match in Warwick yesterday, Sunday 24 June.
The match between the Warwick Wolves senior men’s team and St Alban’s of Toowoomba at Queens Park was called off by the referee at half time after a brawl erupted between players.
It is understood the incident took place as players were leaving the field just after the half-time siren.
The Warwick Wolves were leading 4-1 at the time.
The Free Times has approached Football South West Queensland for comment in relation to how the incident began, any disciplinary action to be taken against those involved and the status of the competition points from the game.
The game appears to have been listed as a “draw” on the Football South West Queensland website.
Update to follow.
