Building plans approved

Vacant land at the corner of Albion and Fitzroy streets in Warwick remains earmarked for a new commercial development.
Brisbane-based owner John Kearney told the Free Times this week he had received council for approval for two buildings on the site.
One would potentially be a cafe or a drive-through food outlet fronting Albion Street, while a larger, 500 square metre to 600 square metre building behind could be used for a range of business functions, including office space or a ‘big-box’ retailer.
He said there was no firm timeframe for the start of construction at this stage and would be completing engineering and operational works plans “over the next couple of months”.
The land was previously owned by Telstra.
