Wallangarra police are continuing to investigate what is believed to be the point-blank shooting of a group of alpacas on a Lyra property south of Stanthorpe on the night of Sunday 24 September.
Police say seven dead alpacas were located on a property on Curtin Road, with six of them found in a nearby creek and one near the residence on the property.
The animals in the creek had to be removed by a tractor to avoid contamination of the watercourse.
The owners of the property were away at the time.
Other animals on the property were unharmed.
No arrests have yet been made, and anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or the Wallangarra police on 4684 3120.
