The Toowoomba-based Surat Gas Aero-Medical Service helicopter has airlifted a 54-year-old man after he was involved in a single-vehicle rollover near the Eight Mile intersection, on the Cunningham Highway, north-east of Warwick earlier this afternoon.
Local emergency services, including the Queensland Ambulance Service, Queensland Police Service and Queensland Fire and Emergency Service were first on-scene and worked to free the man from the wreckage.
He sustained serious multi-trauma injuries and was stabilised by LifeFlight’s critical care doctor and flight paramedic before he was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.
The Toowoomba-based SGAS helicopter was called to the accident scene just after 1pm.
The highway has now been re-opened.
