The Southern Downs Regional Council is taking court action against the owners of a Southern Downs motocross venue for alleged non-compliance with conditions of its development approval.
The council lodged its action against Leyburn’s Haworth Park on 15 December last year and the matter is listed for review by the Queensland Planning and Environment Court next Wednesday 7 February.
The action relates to what the council alleges are unapproved motocross tracks and lighting on the site, and motocross activities taking place outside of approved hours.
The council is also seeking for the court to order the Haworth Park owners to submit a noise impact report and a landscaping plan.
