Goomburra woman with critical head injuries

A Goomburra woman is in a critical condition in Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital after an alleged assault at an Inverramsay Road residence in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 15 March.
A Queensland Police media statement said detectives are investigating after the woman was found at the home with “life threatening injuries”.
It is understood the injured woman was discovered by her partner.
The police statement said that around 12:50am, police were called to the Inverramasy Road address “after the 47-year-old woman sustained a serious head injury”.
“The woman was taken to Warwick Hospital before being airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital where she remains in a critical condition,” the statement said.
“A crime scene has been established as detectives, crime scene and forensic officers investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
“There is no further information available at this time.”
