Ipswich City Council’s chief financial officer Andrew Roach has resigned from his role, effective on Monday of this week.
Mr Roach is the latest to depart the leadership team in place under former Ipswich mayor Paul Pisasale, who quit in June citing ill-health.
Mr Pisasale was subsequently charged with offences following a Crime and Corruption Commission investigation into the council including official corruption, fraud, extortion and perverting the course of justice.
There is no suggestion of impropriety on the part of Mr Roach, who prior to taking up the Ipswich role was chief executive officer of the Southern Downs Regional Council.
Ipswich City Council CEO Jim Lindsay – a former Warwick Shire Council senior manager and a former Warwick Credit Union board member – resigned in January.
He had been suspended from the council with full pay in September after he was charged with official corruption following a CCC probe.
At Ipswich, Mr Roach was a director of council-owned companies Ipswich City Properties, Ipswich City Developments, Ipswich City Enterprises and the Ipswich Motorsport Precinct. It is unclear if he will retain these roles.
