Killarney Kinesiologist brings health, wellness

Killarney’s Corinna Hancock is set to bring her considerable experience in the Health and Wellness industry back to her hometown through a series of courses to be held in the town this year.

Corinna, who has been in the industry since she was 16, said with Killarney being her hometown she had always felt connected to the area with family and lifelong friends here which is why she decided to offer courses in the region.

“I’m very passionate about health services being available to rural communities and it’s a dream to have a Kinesiologist working in every small town on the Darling Downs to support the wellbeing and health of every resident,” she said.

“Owning my own health club in Warwick at the beginning and going on to open four beautiful boutique Pilates reformer studios dotted along the Gold Coast and Northern NSW region I have lost count of the number of phenomenal women (and some divine men) who felt lost, sad, anxious, lonely and uninspired that have found themselves a safe SOULfilled space where they were held tight, which allowed them to voice their fears, anxieties and vulnerabilities.”

Those participating in the teacher training will become a fully qualified Neurolinguistic Kinesiologist able to open their own clinic.

“I am invested in bringing my Kinesiology Teacher Training course one weekend per month for 10 months to the Southern Downs,” she said.

“The format will allow those who may be working full-time, studying or have family the opportunity to jump into this incredible course.

“The course is accredited with IICT (The International Institute for Complimentary Therapists) and also the Australian Kinesiology Association.

“The course is a Neurolinguistic Kinesiology course which explores the relationship between how we think (neuro), how we communicate (linguistic) and our patterns of behaviour and emotion.

“Not only is it an incredible modality to learn, the workshop is a beautiful self development course as you are also working on your own physical and emotional health whilst doing the course.

“The course will also be capped at a maximum of eight participants so there is lots of hands on assistance and support.”

She is not only bringing her wellness education to the region but has opened up a clinic in Warwick.

The Warwick Kinesiology clinic will be taking clients once per month.
