Larger crowd at Warwick Australia Day celebrations

About 1000 people attended Warwick’s Australia Day celebrations at Victoria Park last week.
This was significantly more than last year, according to Warwick Tourism and Events.
Chief executive officer Tracy Vellacott said the feedback on the event was also positive, particularly the change of venue from Queen’s Park to Victoria Park. “The feedback was, it was really beautiful in Victoria Park. Victoria Park does take away the risk that Queen’s Park has with the river, when you have young children around,” Mrs Vellacott said.
The presentation of Australia Day awards, local concert, animal nursery, fireworks and other entertainment for the children were part of the celebrations.
