Foan fed up with council

Tenterfield resident Graham Foan is so fed up with the Tenterfield Shire Council that he has decided to become a candidate for the next council election.
Speaking to the Southern Free Times, Mr Foan said he believed a lot of the current councillors would be replaced at the next election.
“They haven’t really gone along with the views of the ratepayers of Tenterfield or the district,” he said.
“They just don’t represent the people.”
Mr Foan said a Promoting Better Practice Report, completed by the NSW Department of Local Government in 2008, showed that a lot of work was needed to improve the operation of the council.
He said this was still the case today.
The 2012 local government election will be held onSeptember 8.
