Southern Downs Regional Council removed all of the remaining light towers at CF White Oval in Stanthorpe last week after a fourth light tower toppled over recently.
It is understood that the timber light towers, which provided flood lighting for play at night, may have suffered white ant damage.
They were removed before the Stanthorpe cricket semi-finals were held at the oval at the weekend.
