40 years of Stanthorpe Toastmasters

Area 1 Governor Liz Hudson presenting a badge to former President Peter Van Schaik.

The Stanthorpe Toastmasters Club is searching for former members to help mark 40 years of continuous education of oral communication and leadership skills on Thursday, October 25.
Stanthorpe Toastmasters Club is one of the oldest Toastmasters Clubs in Australia. This is a testament to those early Stanthorpe club members who could see the benefits of Toastmasters and started the club in a small rural town of Queensland 40 years ago.
Today the benefits are still being recognised with the club continuing to provide encouragement and challenges to its members.  In addition, the club works within the community on an ongoing basis providing sessions in oral communication skills as well as adjudicators for the annual Year 7 Granite Belt Lecturette competitions.
Stanthorpe Toastmasters Club can be contacted at toastmasters@granitenet.com.au or Trevor on 0408 768 736.
