Rivertree Trail Ride

The 2012 Rivertree Trail ride lived up to its reputation as one of the best rides on the moto calendar. Now in its eighth year the annual St Joesph’s trailbike ride this year drew a crowd of well over 600 riders to the MountLindeasysite. With trails for riders from novice and pee wee class to those experienced riders capable of taking on the testing trail loops there was again something to suit all-comers. Riders from across Queensland and parts of NSW enjoyed some testing conditions.
Saturday the open course which covered a little over 43 klms was just the entrée before the main course on Sunday – a challenging ride for the most experienced bikers covering 56.5 klms designed to test the best of the best.
The whole weekend is designed to be a family fun outing. Organisers expressed their gratitude to local landholders who once againopened up their properties to make the ride a success.
The ride has been dogged by poor weather conditions in the past couple of years but this year conditions were ideal.
The annual bike ride is the main fundraiser each year for St Joseph’s School, Stanthorpe and benefits not only the school’s students but also the local community.
