DO NOT miss the fun and excitement at Wallangarra this Sunday, 4 August, when two popular local events coincide at the Wallangarra Railway Station.
Yes, you get two for the price of one, with the monthly Border Railway Market and the always popular Warwick Steam Train, the Downs Dasher, combining to provide a very special event.
Fill in the morning browsing the market stalls with their individual and interesting operators and a wide variety of goods, enjoy a hearty breakfast or a coffee and snack in the Station Café, while you await the arrival of the “Dasher” as it lumbers into the station, reviving memories of the romance and charm of the bygone era of steam. Organisers will even take the kids off your hands with their free mini-steam train rides.
If you are interested in operating a stall on the day, contact Lynne or Brendan, or simply turn up at the Station between 6am and 7.30am. Site fees are $10 in the car park and $15 under cover on the platform.
