THE outdoor setting at Leslie Park provided the perfect backdrop on Wednesday, 21 August, for the Warwick Christian Fellowship day in the park.
More than 50 residents gathered under the provided shade to enjoy some music, friendly faces and sunshine.
Among them was 99-year-old Rita Downey, who will celebrate her 100th birthday next year on 20 August.
“It’s a nice day for us to get out and have some fun in the sun,” she said.
“This is an event we all look forward to with familiar and new faces every year.”
It was the second year for the popular event. Local volunteers serving scones and tea while visitors enjoyed some live music and shared stories.
