Opera Queensland to star at Ballandean

Opera in the Vineyard at Ballandean has been a successful blend of the splendour of Opera, together with the country hospitality of the Rotary Club of Stanthorpe and the Puglisi family. In its 19th year, this success looks set to continue.
Excitement is growing as the Rotary Club of Stanthorpe begins their preparations for Opera in the Vineyard at Ballandean Estate Wines.  Invitations have been despatched and tickets are being purchased well in advance of this year’s magnificent event.
Angelo Puglisi of Ballandean Estate and a Stanthorpe Rotarian is delighted to announce that the Opera will feature artists from Opera Queensland. “It is very exciting to host Opera Queensland this year and the artists appearing are the best of an amazing line-up of performers.  As usual, guests to the Opera will be treated to some amazing performances.”
Appearing this year is Milica Ilic (Soprano), Brad Daley (Tenor) and Jose’ Carbo (Baritone). Engagements for 2011 include The Girl of the Golden West, Tosca, The Barber of Seville and of Mice and Men. The program will be compered by John Colwill.
The major beneficiary is the Wesley Hospital, with funds going to the Palliative Care Unit. “Our long-time relationship with the Wesley has resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars donated to very worthy causes and it certainly makes you feel good when you know you are helping many Queenslanders in their time of need – it’s the whole reason for our event,” Angelo said.
If it is time for you or someone you know to add a little magic to your life, then Opera in the Vineyard at Ballandean is an experience you must share.  You can choose to attend the buffet lunch, or dance the night away at the Gala Dinner Dance – it’s up to you.
Tickets for this outstanding event are
available online now at www.operainthevineyard.com or, for some friendly advice on where to stay and how to arrive at the event, call the winery
