Flight training program for school students

In the next 10 years, more than 183,000 new pilots will be needed in the Asia Pacific regions.
Both male and female pilots are wanted.
Career options include commercial pilots, international pilots, Airforce and Army pilots, flight instructor and executive roles in small to major aviation companies where being a qualified pilot is essential.
Warwick’s Queensland Recreational Aircraft Association Flight Training School (QRAA), operating out of the Massie Airfield 10km north of Warwick, is offering a school based flight training program for students who aspire to become a pilot.
QRAA will work with schools which promote and facilitate a flight training program for a minimum of one day a month, one hour lesson for up to six students a day.
Students from the age of 14 can learn to fly but must be 15 before they can go solo.
Typically retired pilots living in proximity of the school are approached to coordinate the program and ground handling for the school at no cost.
Parental consent will be required for students under the age of 18.
For those students interested, a 30-minute trial introductory flight can be arranged for $85. For further details, contact Kelvin Hutchinson on 0407 733 836.
