Get ready for major drawcard

A key aspect of the Rose & Rodeo Festival is the lively Warwick Credit Union Street Parade – one of the major festival drawcards for the locals.
While entries are rolling in for this year’s Rose & Rodeo Street Parade, which has been themed in line with Warwick’s sesquicentennial birthday party (our 150th year), more entries are welcome.
Warwick Tourism & Events CEO Tracy Vellacott said more than 40 participants generally make up this fantastic parade with a multitude of colours, characters, rhythms, floats and plenty of handsome horses on show.
“These floats depict many of the schools, organisations and hobby and service groups in our community and showcase the diversity and excellence of this region,” Mrs Vellacott said.
“We are also very lucky to have long-term sponsors like the Warwick Credit Union throw their support behind the parade, with some impressive trophies and cash on offer for the winners,” she said.
Mrs Vellacott urged the community to come along and cheer on the wonderful local talent on show.
The parade starts at noon this Saturday, with good vantage points all along the Palmerin Street route.
Warwick Credit Union Street Parade registration is just $10 and forms are available now from the Warwick Visitor Information Centre or contact Warwick Tourism & Events on (07) 4661 9073 for more details.
