Want to learn how to write a song?

How many of us think it would be fun to write a song of our own, only to find a few lines into it that we’re ‘stuck’?
Local resident Sue York fell into the ‘stuck’ category herself and so, when she saw a songwriting workshop on Steve Seaton’s ‘Loose Acoustic’ website, she jumped at the chance to learn how.
Held in Brisbane at Steve’s home, there was a really relaxed personal atmosphere. There were people who had written one song and others that had written lots.
“Some were confident with the lyrics, others the music and we shared one another’s development of the songs we brought along, which was fascinating to be part of,” Ms York said.
“This experience was one I dearly wanted for musicians in Warwick. Steve offered to host a similar workshop here if I could organise a group of 10 or so,” she said.
With an amazing view of the countryside and Warwick, ‘Lunar Lodge’ will provide an inspirational setting for the workshop.
It will be held on February 11 from 9am to 5pm, with lunch provided.
If you’re interested in attending, contact Sue York on 0403 216 503.
