What are your Christmas plans?

Peter Gasparin playing the pipe organ in St Paul’s Anglican Church recently in preparation for the concert.

As a treat for music lovers of all ages, choir members and some ring-ins will borrow the wonderful acoustics of St Paul’s Anglican Church and commandeer the spectacular pipe organ for some wonderful music titled “Celebration of Carols” on Saturday, December 22.
Local music identity and twinkle-toes of all things organ-like, Michael Lynch, has confirmed his availability for this date.  Peter Gasparin will also vie for the organ seat and will be pulling out all stops – pun intended – to put on a great show with the pieces he has undertaken to play.
The choir would like to extend an invitation to members of the community who would like to participate in this special event to come along to our rehearsals to learn parts for these wonderful traditional carols we have sourced.  The weekly choir practice is held at Stanthorpe Little Theatre in Connor Street each Wednesday night from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.
The Celebration of Carols will begin at 4pm on Saturday, December 22, and run for about an hour and a half, so everyone can be home for dinner or other events later in the evening.
If you would like more information, please contact Leonie Schekoske on 0410 417 941.
