Public consultation wanted

My name is Donna Nevin and I moved here just over a year ago. I was very astounded to hear and read that Southern Downs Regional Council were adding fluoride to Warwick and Allora’s water without public consultation, and with little consideration to the property owners and businesses and families paying for an unnecessary and expensive exercise. Most professionals and doctors will argue that it is not beneficial and in fact, harmful. There have been far too many disastrous consequences owing to little thought, just about everything is not thought up first in amoungst our leaders. We pay the wages, the rates, the water, the GST, the taxes, so you listen in a fair public consultation with residents. Please listen.
Also, why oh why are our rates in Killarney as much as Warwick and more than Brisbane and the Gold Coast? It is more expensive to live west of the coast, not affordable, ask anyone working or not working. I have to leave for three months to find work as there is little work advertised in the paper here. It’s a total joke and incomprehensible. Warwick and Killarney don’t even separate their waste, nor cater to vegetarians, right brainers, alternate medicine nor qualified and trained artists, without being a volunteer job. Bewildered, vegetarian, right brained, qualified artist and alternate preventive practitioner.
Donna Nevin,
Killarney
