On October 24, Queen Elizabeth II visited Brisbane for a few hours. In the morning before the Queen arrived in the sunshine capital, Premier Anna was interviewed on radio. She spoke eloquently of the Queen’s visit and one would think that she was a 100 per cent monarchist by the way she was talking. The words just gushed out as if spoken from the heart.
However, for the many ‘republicans’ that know the true feelings of the Premier, I believe she sent a strong message to them by wearing a red dress during the Queen’s visit.
For those who remember the night of the last state election, they would recall Anna wore a red dress on that historic occasion as well.
For those in the ‘know’, red is the color of a certain political persuasion that has caused much havoc in the last 100 years.
