It is refreshing to have a local person write such an honest description of a local event. It is sad that Warwick will lose Slade. Perhaps the local clubs could combine, purchase some land and aim at building a hall of their own or maybe pursue all Councillors and see why the council could not set aside some land and start a fund or apply for government grants to build Warwick’s own music hall.
The coming loss of Slade made my wife and I start a format called ‘Warwick Country Music Opry’. We have been so pleased at the support we have had, over 100 local people in our audience so, if you want a great day, come along and enjoy. Leonie Miller is welcome to come along; we need great locals like you.
Graham Stokes,
Goomburra
