Religious irrelevance

Religion is, and has always been, the cause of most of the problems besetting the human race. Because of the desire of a particular religion to dominate all others in the known world, humans have been in a state of almost constant warfare for, at least, five thousand years.
Don’t you think it’s about time humans “grew up” and banned these ridiculous superstitions? I mean, primitives might believe the absurd claims made by religious lunatics, but anyone with half a brain sees it for the garbage that it is.
Yet these lunatics are allowed to dominate our political system and dictate their imbecilic religious beliefs on to the rest of us! Australia is ruled by a foreign “Queen” who is also the head of the Church of England. Now Islamic politicians are being elected. The Christians and Muslims have been at war for almost a thousand years. No good can come of them sharing power.
It’s time we recognised the fact that all religious people are mentally deficient. Therefore they shouldn’t be allowed to vote or participate in our government. That includes the public service!
