Apology to the Community

I am the independent facilitator for the Community Reference Group (CRG) formed to consider an appropriate option for reliable power to Stanthorpe.
I had posted a couple of blog articles on the Twyfords website discussing community involvement in the powerline issue.
I now appreciate that my comments were quite inappropriate and insulting to the community members who were involved and to the broader community.
I wish to apologise unreservedly to the community, AWARE members, the local member Lawrence Springborg, and Ergon for my ill-judged comments.
I did let my ego and excitement about the process cloud my judgement in what I said, and I deeply regret the impact on community members.
It was insensitive of me in making assumptions about people who are deeply concerned with doing the right thing to protect their homes, family, livelihoods and the community.
I have removed the offending blogs from the website, and have learned to think from others perspectives in future.

Thank you
John Dengate
