Julia Gillard has just spent twenty-five million dollars campaigning for an Australian seat on the United Nations’ Security Council. This will compel us to spend many more millions on aid to poor countries which, in time, turn to bite the hand that feeds them, for instance, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Palestinian lobby. Naturally, Foreign Minister Bob Carr will defend this spending — even though it will end up supporting the world-wide Islamic terrorist movements. Another victory for the ALP!
