Well done Warwick

More than 210 lives will be improved or saved, thanks to the generosity of Warwick residents.
The Southern Free Times’ call for more blood donors was well and truly answered, with more than 70 donors turning up to give this precious gift last week.
We reported in our May 12 edition that the monthly Warwick mobile collection service had only been attracting about 30 donors of late, which only helped or saved about 90 people. It used to have about 50 donors.
Australian Red Cross Blood Service community relations officer Kirsten McGovern said some donors last week donated blood for the first time.
“It was the most successful clinic we’ve had in Warwick this year,” Mrs McGovern said.
“We would like to thank the Warwick community for their overwhelming support at our blood collection clinic last week,” she said.
Warwick’s next collection service will be held on June 21, whereas Stanthorpe residents will be given an opportunity to save lives by donating at the Stanthorpe Civic Centre in Marsh Street this Tuesday between 10am and 2pm.
To make an appointment to donate blood, please call 13 14 95.
