We’re set for a pretty gloomy weekend, so snuggle up and watch some of the current offerings on streaming services.
1. The Twelve
This series, streaming on Binge, follows twelve everyday people who are selected for jury duty in a murder trial which is both traumatising and controversial, as a woman is accused of killing a child.
2. Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin
This series is the fourth television series in the Pretty Little Liars franchise, which is based on the novel series written by Sara Shepard, and set within the same continuity as the previous series. While the other two spinoffs have been panned, this series is proving quite popular and may have captured the spirit of the original show. Streaming on Binge, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin follows the lives of a group of teenage girls who begin receiving terror from a mysterious assailant named A”, holding them responsible for something tragic that happened in the past.
3. Echoes
Echoes, streaming on Netflix, follows identical twin sisters Leni and Gina after they decide to swap their lives. They have secretly swapped lives since they were children, culminating in a double life as adults where they share two homes, two husbands, and a child. There are dire consequences when one of the twins goes missing, causing both of their lives to rapidly fall apart.
