Looking for something to watch in the middle of the day while enjoying food or a cold drink from the Ringmasters Café? Why not sit back and watch some show jumping?

We have top riders from southern Queensland and northern NSW looking to jump courses by Anthony Murry. Anthony is one of Queensland’s highest qualified course builders and is well respected among jumping riders. They include Clem Smith, Nathan Johnson, TJ Madigan as well as our local competitor Clive Hicks.

With show jumping, it is very easy for the spectator to understand what is required of a horse and rider to win an event. They jump a prescribed course in the required time without having a rail down or a refusal or a fall. In some events, all the competitors with clear rounds may jump a shorter course in either the shortest time or a time requiring them to ride at a certain speed.

In the other two arenas we have all the hack and rider classes. On Fridays, classes are mostly restricted to local competitors who they ride their well-presented, trained and calm horses and ponies. Some classes concentrate on how well the rider looks and presents their horses, other classes are about the confirmation and presentation of the horse itself.

There is always something going on in the Peter Bondfield arena, so grab yourself something to eat, or to drink and enjoy the best of horse action, all day both days.
