QCWA drought assistance available

The Queensland Country Women’s Association (QCWA) has received $1 million from the Commonwealth Drought Assistance for their Public Rural Crisis Fund.

Eligible applicants are –

• Farmers or farming dependent contractors, and/or

• A farming dependent family (including families servicing farming, such as farming contractors and local rural businesses)

Funds are available up to $3000 for food, motor vehicle expenses such as registration, electricity, rates, telephone, dental and medical and school fees.

No payments will be made directly into personal accounts. QCWA will pay bills directly.

QCWA members will be at the QCWA Division Headquarter tomorrow – Thursday 25 July – at 103 Fitzroy Street, Warwick from 10am to 2pm for eligible applicants to receive the application forms.
