About

This lovable larrikin is Leo, a male Bull Arab mix born on 15 April 2019.

We asked Leo’s foster mum to nominate his three top qualities and this is what she said:

1. Leo has a loving, kind and generous heart and would make a devoted companion or family pet.

2. He’s very playful and absolutely loves kids, but would be best suited to older kids that are able to cope with his size and energy.

3. He loves attention and turns into a big goofball when you give him pats and tummy scratches.

He’s very tactile and loves it when you hold his paw.

Leo is dog-friendly but likes to be the top dog.

He gets along well with all the other dogs at his foster home, but don’t ask him to share a food bowl.

True to his breed mix, he’s strong, active and high energy.

He will do best in the hands of a confident owner and in a home where he’s regarded as an integral member of the family.

Leo will need plenty of daily exercise and mental stimulation and the more space he has to run and play, the better.

He’s not suited to apartment living or full-time workers.

Prior large breed experience will be well regarded.

Being such a people-focused dog, Leo will be more content in a home where someone is around most of the time and secure fencing is a must.

Leo is untested with cats and pocket pets.

If you are interested in meeting Leo, please complete the online adoption application at southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ and one of our volunteers will be in touch.

His adoption fee is $325 and he is desexed, vaccinated and microchipped.

He is available for interstate adoption.
