Stanthorpe vs Warwick rugby league

My brother William and I both really love Rugby League and we play for the Stanthorpe Gremlins. On Saturday William played against Warwick Collegians in the U8 competition.

I didn’t play because we had to leave as soon as William’s match was over to travel to the Gold Coast. We went to CBUS Stadium to watch the Canberra Raiders play the Gold Coast Titans which was really great.

And William got to go on at half time with his Stanthorpe Gremlins team to play against the Pittsworth Danes on the actual footy field that the main game was being played on. William was super proud of this and it was extra special for him because last year he was supposed to do the same thing but he missed out because he broke his arm. William’s team photo is there and he is second from the right in the back row.

It was a long day because we headed back home to Kyoomba after the main game finished. The Raiders won the game against the Gold Coast Titans. I was on the side of the Queensland team of course but William was born in Canberra when mum and dad were there in the Air Force so he was on the side of the Raiders.

The footy season is over for the Stanthorpe Gremlins now but I will still be watching footy on TV when I can. I want to say thank you to the volunteer coaches and everyone who volunteers to let us kids play footy.
