Our region is full of beautiful places just waiting to be explored. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, you discover something new. Here’s three places to check out this weekend:
1. Girraween National Park
Girraween is known for its beautiful flowers, dramatic landscapes, and unique wildlife. Go on a bushwalk or attempt some rock climbing in the beautiful granite landscape.
2. Condamine Valley
Take the scenic route to Killarney, heading out through Yangan. The roads near Swanfels have some of the most picturesque views in the region, and are worth the added trip.
3. Goldfields
Did you know there’s gold basically in your backyard? Have a go at fossicking for some at Thanes Creek or Durikai State Forest, but don’t forget your fossicking licence!
