Motorists’ hip pocket will feel the squeeze as a new record at the diesel bowser sees prices climb passed the June 30, 2022, high of 235.2 to 235.9 this week.
According to RACQ fair fuel prices Coles Express in Warwick, United Warwick Fast Foods, BP West Warwick and BP Albion are all charging 235.9.
The cheapest diesel in Warwick is located at Metro Petroleum at 227.7 however this update was reported on October 19.
Coming in close is Mobil Warwick at 227.9 which was reported yesterday.
However, the RACQ ‘average’ price of 233.2 based on the current market data recommends it’s a good time to buy your fuel now in Warwick.
An RACQ spokesperson said the record high prices were due to international factors, rather than overcharging by fuel companies, namely the conflict between Russia and the Ukraine.
A peaceful solution to the war is essential for diesel prices to fall back to a level similar to unleaded.
