It is not Christmas on the Southern Downs without a little serenading from the mayor himself.
Mayor Vic Pennisi again plans to get behind the microphone to welcome us into the festive season with a bit of song and dance.
Cr Pennisi said he started creating these songs and videos in his first year as mayor and now it has become a bit of a tradition.
“I think [the community] look forward to it, I’ve had people ask when my song is coming out and others tell me not to give up my day job, but it’s a bit of fun and ok to laugh at yourself.
“And maybe one day when I am gone my kids can look back on it at Christmas time and sing some karaoke,” he said.
Last year, Cr Pennisi dressed as Elvis Presley and sang Return To Sender and the year before that was him masquerading around the region as Johnny Cash and Santa Claus singing Folsom Prison Blues.
This year he has us all waiting in anticipation for the video to drop. All he would let on was that we would be seeing him dressed in a kilt.
