Residents of the Southern Downs region can now enjoy a significantly improved experience with the latest version of the MySDRC App, announced by the Southern Downs Regional Council.

The enhancements to the MySDRC App aim to provide users with easier access to essential council information, news, alerts, and timely updates, especially during critical events such as disasters.

Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Council, Leon Love said the app is imperative to providing residents convent and vital information about the region.

“The MySDRC App is an essential time-saving information tool that provides residents with the latest Council news, tourist information and Council career opportunities. It also provides direct access to the Disaster  Dashboard for road closures and is an easy way to report issues that need to be addressed by Council, including reporting road damage during weather events,” Mr Love said.

“These latest improvements are designed to increase accessibility to a broader audience and create a more positive user interaction experience.

“The MySDRC App also helps the community stay on top of misinformation by having direct access to Council’s latest media releases as soon as they are issued,” he said.

During emergencies such as floods or bushfires, access to real-time information is paramount. The app’s direct link to the Council’s Disaster Dashboard ensures that users can access up-to-date information with a simple click, helping them navigate safely during challenging circumstances.

The Council encourages both existing and new users to download or update the app, available on both Apple and Google stores by searching for “My SDRC“.
