SCOTS PGC College has been bestowed with a remarkable honour, receiving an invitation from St James’s House in London to be showcased in the commemorative publication for ‘The Commonwealth at 75’.

This publication, set to be an official commemorative hardback album, marks the 75th Anniversary of the Commonwealth.

The unexpected invitation underscores the international recognition and impact of this small college situated in Warwick.

In response to the invitation, the College questioned why they were chosen and were moved by the response.

Partnerships manager at St James’s House, Kian Husain Bor said SCOTS PGC College garnered attention for its exceptional standards of teaching, forward-thinking approach, nurturing environment, and its profound impact on regional, rural, and local communities.

“We were drawn to your inspiring history and incredible community focus,“ Bor said.

“Your commitment to facilitating the development of sound educational judgment impacts and extends to the individual students it serves and larger society.

“This aligns with the  Commonwealth’s long-term plan to serve communities and improve global education.”

Bor highlighted the College’s rich foundation and heritage, particularly its significant contributions to Agriculture, echoing King Charles’s passion for farming, sustainability, and conservation within his vision for the new Commonwealth.

SCOTS PGC College stands as one of the select educational institutions across the Commonwealth chosen to be featured in the prestigious publication. The College’s historical ties with the royal family, symbolised by its students donning the Cameron of Erracht kilt, the same tartan as worn by the late Queen’s Own Cameron Highland Regiment, further underscore its unique place in history.

“This is a unique opportunity for the College to be showcased internationally,“ a College spokesperson said.

“We believe this recognition is a testament to our historical contributions as well as our recent growth and development, solidifying our position as a leader in Education not only in our region and in Australia but across the Commonwealth.“

The invitation to feature in ’The Commonwealth at 75’ commemorative publication represents a milestone for SCOTS PGC College, affirming its global significance and contribution to education and community development.
